Maharashtra leaders extend birthday wishes to Guv Bhagat Singh Koshyari
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray visited Raj Bhavan here on Thursday to extend his greetings to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on the latter's 79th birthday.
Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Devendra Fadnavis also paid Koshyari a visit and wished him on the occasion.

Maharashtra to roll out mobile units to detect early hearing loss
In a unique initiative, the Maharashtra Health Department will use mobile units to check the hearing abilities of newborns in the state to diagnose and start their treatment early, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Thursday.
To be launched as a pilot project in Gadchiroli, Jalna and Pune, the project was conceived by Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule and will be taken forward by Abhijit Raut of the Disability Rights Development Forum of the Yashwantrao Chavan Pratisthan.
Elgar case: NIA says Stan Swamy is a Maoist, opposes his bail plea in HC
The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has opposed the bail plea filed by Jesuit priest and activist Stan Swamy in the Bombay High Court, saying the Elgar Parishad case accused was a "Maoist" who engaged in activities to spread Naxalism, and that he was part of a "deep rooted controversy to overthrow the government."
Non-political panel of devotees should monitor spending of Ram temple funds: NCP
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Thursday said a "non-political committee" of devotees should monitor the spending of funds collected for the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.
The demand came amid allegations of scam in the purchase of land in Ayodhya which the Ram temple trust has denied.
Maratha quota review petition to be filed next week
The Maharashtra government would file a review petition in the Supreme Court next week against the May 5 ruling of the apex court which quashed reservation in jobs and education for the Marathas, a senior minister said here on Thursday.
BJP MP Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati, who met Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray during the day, said the ongoing agitation for quota will not be withdrawn.
