Mumbai: A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a 35-year-old man in a high-rise in Mumbai's Byculla area. The accused stays in the victim's building. He befriended the victim and forcibly sexually assaulted her in the building's parking lot for nearly four months. Agripada Police have registered an FIR and arrested the accused in the Byculla area itself. The arrest follows a complaint filed by the victim's father.
Victim & Accused Reside In Same Building
According to police, the victim's family lives on the 45th floor, while the accused resides on the 48th floor of the same building where the alleged incidents occurred. Authorities confirmed that the accused has no prior criminal record. CCTV footage has been secured as evidence in the case.
Crimes Committed In Parking Lot and Flat Lounge
The complaint states that between February 27 and June 28, the accused befriended the teenage victim. He is alleged to have forcibly established physical relations with her on multiple occasions, including in the building's parking lot.

Furthermore, it is alleged that the accused, taking advantage of the absence of others, lured the victim to his flat and assaulted her in the lounge room. An FIR has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
