Mumbai, August 23, 2026: A 15-year-old schoolgirl was injured after a motorcycle knocked her down near Mithibai College in Vile Parle West on August 18. Juhu police detained the 20-year-old college student who was allegedly riding the motorcycle on Saturday. The victim, Ghai Samika Kaur, an American citizen, is stable.

Motorcyclist Allegedly Fled

According to the FIR, Samika was walking to her tuition class around 8.20 am when a speeding motorcyclist allegedly hit her from behind on Gulmohar Road near Starbucks. She sustained injuries to her head, legs and hands. The rider allegedly fled without providing medical assistance.

Samika’s friends took her home, after which her mother rushed her to Nanavati Hospital. She was discharged after treatment. Police have not revealed the accused’s name. A video of the accident has gone viral.
