He decided to quit and join as Member (administration) in the newly formed Capacity Building Commission in New Delhi for a three-year tenure

Hours after appointment as ACS in Marathi Bhasha Department, Former BMC Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi quit.

He will now join as Member (administration) in the newly formed Capacity Building Commission in New Delhi for a three-year tenure. He decided to quit to join the Commission as he could not go on deputation in the Government of India since he was not empaneled.

In a bureaucratic reshuffle on Wednesday, the Maharashtra government appointed former BrihanMumbai Municipal Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi, IAS (1985), as additional chief secretary of the Marathi Bhasha Department.

Pardeshi, after he was removed as BMC commissioner in May 2020, was posted as additional chief secretary in the Urban Development Department. Thereafter, he had taken up an assignment as the Global Programme Coordinator for Defeat of NCD Partnership (D-1 level) under the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) for 11 months.

Further, the state government appointed Ranjit Kumar, IAS (2008) Director (IT) as Joint Secretary to the Chief Secretary Office.

VP Phad, IAS (MH:2011) CEO, ZP, Osmanabad was appointed as Member Secretary, Marathwada Statutory Development Board, Aurangabad.

Dr Pankaj Ashiya, IAS (MH:2016) Municipal Commissioner, Bhiwandi-Nijampur Municipal Corporation, Bhiwandi was posted as CEO, ZP, Jalgaon.

Rahul Gupta, IAS (MH:2017) Assistant Collector and Project Officer, ITDP, Aheri, Gadchiroli was posted as CEO, ZP, Osmanabad.

Manuj Jindal, IAS (MH:2017) Assistant Collector, Ettapali Sub Division and Project Officer, ITDP, Bhamragad, Gadchiroli was posted as CEO, ZP, Jalna.

Mitali Sethi, IAS (MH:2017) Assistant Collector and Project Officer, ITDP, Dharni, Amaravati was posted as CEO, ZP, Chandrapur.
