The 68th National Railway Week Function – Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP), 2023 will be held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on Friday, December 15. On this occasion, various Efficiency Shields and Individual Awards, known as Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar, will be presented to the Zonal Railways as well as officials/staff for their outstanding performance during the year 2022-23. Western Railway will be presented with five National Efficiency Performance Shields and seven Individual National Awards during this function.
According to Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Western Railway is the sole winner of the prestigious National Shield for outstanding performance in the fields of Traffic Transportation, Sales Management, Level Crossing and Road Over/Under Bridge Safety Works, and RailMadad, while the Stores Shield has been awarded jointly to Western Railway along with Central Railway. Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will present these coveted Shields to the general manager along with the concerned Principal Head of Department.
Thakur further informed that seven officers/staff from Western Railway will receive Individual National Awards for their meritorious performance during the year 2022-23. Amongst these are Yogesh Kumar – Dy Chief Engineer, Anant Kumar – Dy Chief Engineer, Zenia Gupta, Divisional Operations Manager, Priyansh Agrawal - Divisional Engineer, Menaka D Pandian Sr Section Officer, Binay Kumar Jha – Station Superintendent (Operating), and Sanju Pasi – Commercial Superintendent, who will receive the Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar from the Minister of Railways. Ashok Kumar Misra, General Manager of Western Railway, appreciated the meritorious performance of the entire Western Railway team for their dedicated efforts and congratulated the recipients of the Awards for securing these prestigious Awards.
