A 40-year-old unidentified man's body was discovered at Versova Beach on Friday. The Versova police have registered an accidental death report and are trying to ascertain his identity while searching for his relatives. No documents or mobile phone were found with the deceased, making it challenging for the police to identify him.
According to the police, around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, sea guards found a body that had washed ashore at Versova Beach near Sagar Kutir, where construction of the new coastal bridge is ongoing. The guards informed the Versova police, who arrived at the scene, took the body into their custody, and sent it to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The deceased's identity remains unknown, and the police are working to determine his name and address. He was wearing a white T-shirt and brown trousers.

A police officer stated, "The incident seems to have occurred late at night, as the body appeared fresh and was found quite far from the bridge. The deceased was fully clothed. No marks were found on the body. No documents or mobile phone were recovered. We are searching for his relatives to ascertain his identity."
