In a shocking incident, on Thursday a couple in Mumbai’s Sion committed suicide in front of their four-year-old son.
According to Mumbai Mirror, the incident took place in the BMC building at Sion’s Agarwada near PVR cinema. The man, Vivek Kamble, 30, was found hanging, while his wife Rasika (26) had reportedly consumed poison. The incident came to light when the victim’s brother knocked on the door and failed to get any response.
After sometime Rajesh with the help of neighbours broke the door and found his brother hanging, while his sister-in-law lying on the floor. The four-year-old son reportedly kept weeping and fell asleep. The reason for the couple’s extreme step is still unknown. The victim’s family has said that the man worked as a salesman in a garment factory and had been diagnosed with tuberculosis about two years ago. He was suffering from depression. The wife too had been diagnosed with TB recently. The cops have not found any suicide note and have registered accidental death reports in the matter.
