Mumbai, August 6, 2026: Mumbai's water supply will be disrupted in parts of K-East and H-East wards as the BMC undertakes maintenance of the 2,400-mm Vaitarna water pipeline from 10 am on August 11 to 10 am on August 12 to strengthen the city's water distribution network.
K-East Areas To Face Low Pressure
In K-East ward, several areas of Andheri East will receive low-pressure water supply. On August 11, low pressure is expected from 2 pm to 5.30 pm in Kabir Nagar, Bamanwada, Parsiwada, Airport area, Tarun Bharat Colony, Islampura, Deulwadi, Fish Market, Ghativada, Chakala and P&T Colony, and from 5 pm to 10 pm in Koldongri, Old Police Lane, Vijay Nagar (Sahar Road) and Mograpada. On August 12, Sahar Village, Sutar Pakhadi and the Cargo Complex will receive low-pressure supply from 5 am to 8 am.
H-East Supply To Be Suspended
In H-East ward, water supply will remain completely suspended on August 11 in the Domestic Airport, Hangar Staff Colony, Air India Colony, Santacruz (East), Bandra Terminus and Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). On August 12, the shutdown will extend across the entire H-East ward, including Santacruz (East), Khar (East) and Bandra (East).

The BMC has urged residents to store sufficient water in advance, use it judiciously and, as a precaution, boil and filter drinking water for the next few days. Citizens have also been requested to cooperate during the maintenance work.
