Three persons were killed and a nine-year-old girl sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a tractor on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway on Thursday. The accident took place near Vashind-Khativali village.
Three of the occupants of the two-wheeler died on the spot, a police official said. While the bodies of the deceased had been sent for post-mortem to a government hospital in Shahapur, the injured girl was rushed to the hospital in Mumbai for treatment.
