Mumbai: 2,500 Women Take Part In Brahma Kumaris' 'Sakhi Minithon 2025' At Ghatkopar

The event, themed 'Celebrate, Inspire, Unite: Every Mile is a Milestone', brought together women from diverse backgrounds and age groups in an event to promote health, wellness, and togetherness.

Mumbai: Spiritual organisation, Brahma Kumaris, Ghatkopar, organised a 'Sakhi Minithon 2025' on February 2, at the Acharya Atre Sports Ground in Ghatkopar.

The event, themed 'Celebrate, Inspire, Unite: Every Mile is a Milestone', brought together women from diverse backgrounds and age groups in an event to promote health, wellness, and togetherness.

Sunday's programmes started at 6am, followed by a warm up session by Dr Nikhil Shasane, consulting homeopath and dance/fitness therapist. At 7am, the much-anticipated 4 km run commenced, with 2500 women enthusiastically taking part in it.

The event was flagged off in the presence of Rajyogi Brahma Kumar Nikunj Ji, spiritual mentor and popular columnist with over 8500 published columns in newspapers across India, Nepal, and United Kingdom, and the National Coordinator of Media Wing of Brahma Kumaris; Rajyogini Brahmakumari Shaku Didi Ji, Additional Director of Brahma Kumaris Ghatkopar Subzone; senior advocate Seema Sarnaik, member of Advocates Association of Western India; Nitin Ashar, Managing Director of True Value Marketing Service Pvt. Ltd, and senior Rajyoga teachers B K Neelima, the incharge – Brahmakumaris Vikhroli, and B K Sarla, incharge, Brahmakumaris Chembur. Kajal Prajapati, Aarti Kherde and Monica More were the winner, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.

In his address to the participants, Nikunj Ji conveyed the three blessings from Rajyogini Brahmakumari Dr Nalini Didi Ji, director of Brahma Kumaris, Ghatkopar Subzone. The blessings were of being always content, of being a well wisher of all and of being always victorious. Nikunj Ji said that all the women will be winners irrespective of the outcome of the event.

Invited Guests praised and congratulated the women and urged them to be self-reliant in their personal lives. The event was anchored by Sagar Aharwal, freelance anchor and educator. Self-defence exercises were presented by karate coach Shashikant More. The event included a free medical camp and a Rajyoga meditation Camp. Participants took home a goody bag filled with gifts
