In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old biker fell to his death and the pillion rider was injured after a car rammed into their bike. The accident took place at U-bridge in Bandra (West) early on Sunday.
According to Hindustan Times, the car's driver has been identified as Akshit Prakash Nahar (20), who is a college student. Nahar has been arrested by the police. The biker has been identified as Shahid Khan, a resident of Malwani. Khan used to do odd jobs for a living. The pillion rider was identified as Arbaz Khan, who also is the complainant in the case. On Sunday, Arbaaz and Shahid left Mahim dargah at 3.10 am to visit Bandstand in Bandra (West). Arbaz told the leading daily, “Around 3.50am we reached the Bandra U-bridge when suddenly 15-odd bikers came in the opposite direction on the wrong side. Shahid and I got scared and switched lanes from the left side to the right, when a speeding car came from behind and rammed into our bike.”
After the car rammed into the bike, Shahid fell from a height of over 50 feet and died on the spot, Arbaz was rushed to hospital where he is out of danger and is being treated for serious injuries. The cops have said that Nahar was speeding and could not control his car in time, which caused that collision. Nahar has been arrested under relevant sections of the IPC, but was later granted bail by the court.
