Mumbai: In the March 25 case of kidnapping and robbery of delivery boy Sumit Ambavekar, in which a constable was arrested, the Juhu police have now arrested Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) personnel Sagar Wagh for his alleged involvement. The gang, including two police constables, robbed Ambavekar of $10,000 (Rs9.3 lakh) and Rs15,000. Three accused are still absconding.
Earlier, constable Sandeep Shinde, 33, attached to the BKC police, and Gajendra Rajput, 40, from the Jogeshwari police, were arrested and later suspended, with a departmental inquiry initiated.

According to the FIR, Ambavekar, a forex delivery agent, was abducted in Juhu’s JVPD Scheme, assaulted and forced into a car by six men. The accused looted cash, threatened him, took his phone password and posed as police near Kandivli. Shinde was later caught by locals after a scuffle and handed over to the Juhu police.
