Mumbai : Navi Mumbai was cut from the rest of the city as a goods train was stuck between Kurla and LTT on Tuesday afternoon. There was no train movement to and fro to Panvel for 30 minutes until the tracks were cleared.
The goods train with 58 wagons was stuck on the tracks for 30 minutes between LTT and Kurla. An official from CR said, “Wheels of the train were stalled on the tracks. They were rotating but there was no movement of the train. Truck-wagon loaded from Bombay Port Trust (BPT) were crossing over the lines at Kurla station when the problem occurred. As trains tilt at crossovers it could have caused the overloading on wheels, ” added the official. Chief PRO of CR, Narendra Patil, said, “Train services were delayed by 20 minutes and the problem was rectified in 30 minutes.
