Soon after the Maharashtra government announced the easing of lockdown in five levels in the state, there has been confusion in minds of citizens on what services will stay open and what not. However, Mumbai's civic body today issued a formal order and said that the state capital city falls under 'Level 3' of Maharashtra government's unlocking plan as it has 5.56 per cent positivity rate and 32.51 per cent oxygen bed occupancy.

The Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) late on Friday night announced a five-level plan to relax the coronavirus-induced restrictions in the state, based on the weekly positivity rate and the occupancy of oxygen beds.

Amid the imposed lockdown due to COVID-19 infection, restaurants and eateries were shut for dining due to the restrictions. However, the BMC in its new order has clarified that since Mumbai falls in Level 3, restaurants will be allowed to operate with 50 percent for dining till 4 pm on weekdays. Post 4 pm only parcel, take away and home delivery will be allowed.

For cities in Level 1, there are no restrictions on dining, while in Level 2, 50 percent capacity for dining has been permitted. In Level 4, only parcel, take away and home delivery will be allowed and in Level 5 only home delivery has been permitted.
