Panvel, August 24, 2026: The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) will hold a joint meeting with government departments, police, traffic authorities, the fire brigade, MSEDCL and other agencies on August 25 to discuss permissions and arrangements for public Ganeshotsav pandals in the civic jurisdiction.

The meeting will be held at 5 pm at Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Natyagruha in Panvel. Office-bearers and representatives of all public Ganeshotsav mandals in the municipal limits have been urged to attend the meeting on time.

Meeting To Review Arrangements

The meeting has been convened to ensure that the festival is conducted in a safe, orderly and well-planned manner and that there are no law-and-order or public inconvenience issues during the celebrations.

The civic body has put preparations in place for granting permissions required for erecting pandals, stages, arches and other temporary structures. Under its single-window system, mandals can apply for permissions online through the dedicated portal, pandal.maharts.in.

The PMC has also prepared a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) governing the erection of pandals, stages, arches and other structures for public festivals. Officials will brief Ganeshotsav mandals on the SOP and related guidelines during the meeting.

Agencies To Attend Meeting

Representatives of the PMC, officials and employees, the Panvel tehsildar, police and traffic departments, MSEDCL, the fire brigade and other concerned agencies are expected to attend.

The civic administration said it was undertaking necessary planning to ensure that citizens do not face inconvenience during the festival and that Ganeshotsav passes off peacefully and safely. It has appealed to all public Ganeshotsav mandals to cooperate with the authorities and adhere to the prescribed guidelines.
