Thane: The Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) officials have informed all the residents of Dombivali East and West that there will be 12-hour water cut on Tuesday, July 5.

Kiran Waghmare, executive engineer, water supply department from KDMC said, "We will be carrying out the necessary urgent repairs at the 150 million litre water treatment plant on Netivali Hill at Kachore near Kalyan which supplies water to Dombivli city. For this work, the water supply of Dombivali East and West city will be shut off from 8 am to 8 pm on Tuesday."

Waghmare appealed, "As the water supply will be cut off throughout the day on Tuesday, a low-pressure water supply is expected the next day. Therefore, the residents should store enough water for one day."

Earlier, water was being supplied to Dombivli city from a water treatment plant at Barave. Considering the growing population and urbanization of Dombivli city, eight years ago, the municipality set up an independent water purification centre for Dombivli on the hill at Netivali. The centre supplies water to the city of Dombivli.
