Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray expressed his gratitude to the Asha workers for their work during the pandmeic period. Members of the Pediatric Task Force interacted with Asha workers on covid infection in children and their responsibilities.
While implementing the recommendations of the Pediatric Task Force, the Chief Minister appealed to the Asha Sevaks to immediately inform the administration if any symptoms other than covid are found. Asha workers should guide the parents in caring for their children and reassure them so that they do not get scared. The Chief Minister appealed to the people to inform the citizens about 'May Family My Responsibility' campaign to prevent children from getting covid infection through family members.
In addition to covid, there is a crisis of malnutrition and while addressing it, "care should be taken to ensure that malnutrition does not lead to child mortality. Take charge of the village slums and guide them for coronation," he said.
While praising the success of Maharashtra in the field of health, the Chief Minister said that the health facilities in the state are being strengthened and work is being done to strengthen the roots of these facilities.
The Chief Minister said, "Asha, Anganwadi worker are the backbone of the administration and are providing health services in rural areas without paying attention to their own health and family." "For that, I pay my respects and the grievances and expectations of the Anganwadi and Asha workers have been properly addressed," he added.
The Chief Minister appealed to Asha workers to give him some time to pave the way for his troubles. According to experts, the threat of a possible third wave of covid will be felt in children and the role of Asha Tai is important to prevent it, said the Chief Minister.
