Mumbai: Tejaswi Ghosalkar, wife of the late Abhishek Ghosalkar, a leader of Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction), received a death threat. On April 1, a threat message was received by Ghosalkar’s worker, Lalchand Pal, via a WhatsApp group named 'Garib Nawaz Niyaz Committee'.
In this group, a person named Sharif posted a photo of the late Abhishek Vinod Ghosalkar along with a message in English text that read: "Lalchand, inko dekhkar sudhar ja. Isko biwi ko mat marva dena, Lalchand."
The message was considered a direct death threat. Following this, Lalchand Pal filed a complaint, and the MHB Police subsequently registered a case against Sharif under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita Act.
It has been a year since the murder of Abhishek Ghosalkar, Shiv Sena (Thackery) leader Vinod Ghosalkar. The Crime Branch is still investigating the case. Now, a year after the incident, Abhishek Ghosalkar’s wife, Tejashwi Ghosalkar, has received a death threat on WhatsApp.
The police have launched an investigation into the threat. The threat was delivered through a WhatsApp group. Lalchand Pal, the key witness in Abhishek Ghosalkar’s murder case, has also received a death threat. With the Crime Branch continuing its probe into the murder, the fresh threats to both Tejashwi Ghosalkar and the main witness have caused a stir.

The incident took place on February 8, when Abhishek Ghosalkar had gone to Maurice Naronha’s office for an event. Naronha live-streamed the event on Facebook. After the live stream ended, he shot and killed Ghosalkar, and then shot himself. Initially, the MHB Colony Police in Borivali registered a case. Later, the investigation was handed over to the Crime Branch.
