Mumbai: A 46-year-old man died after his motorcycle was allegedly hit by a truck at Aarey Flyover on the North Channel of the Western Express Highway in Goregaon East on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased, identified as Sushil Sharma, was a resident of Andheri East and worked for a private company in Malad West.

According to the complaint filed by his 73-year-old father, Sureshchandra Sharma, Sushil left home around 1pm on his motorcycle for work. At around 1.30pm, while Sushil was travelling towards Malad, a truck allegedly coming from his left side hit his motorcycle. The impact caused Sushil to fall on the road, following which the truck's wheel reportedly ran over him.
A passer-by, identified as Adarsh Singh, informed the family about the accident. A tempo driver who was passing the spot reportedly stopped and helped shift the injured man to Jogeshwari Trauma Care Centre. However, Sushil succumbed to his injuries during treatment at around 2.15pm.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case against the truck driver for allegedly driving negligently and causing the fatal accident. The police served a notice to the accussed.
