Shukra Pradosh Vrat Katha
According to legend, once upon a time, there were three friends: a prince, a Brahmin’s son, and a wealthy merchant’s son. The prince and the Brahmin's son were happily married. Soon, the merchant's son also married, but his wife's gauna (the final ceremony to bring the bride home) had not happened. To bring her home as soon as possible, the merchant's son decided to go and bring his wife home immediately.
His parents warned him about the inauspicious time, but he ignored their sign. As they reached home, a snake bit him, and doctors declared that he would die in three days. After the incident, the bride was sent to her parents because the trouble happened during travel in Shukra Asta. His health improved afterwards. Once Shukra rose again, he went back and brought her back, and they lived happily.
