On the occasion of National Handloom Day, Miss India World 2026 Sadhvi Sail paid a heartfelt tribute to India's rich textile heritage by reflecting on one of the most memorable outfits of her life. Taking to social media, the beauty queen revealed that the ensemble she wore during the grand finale of the Miss India World 2026 pageant was inspired by Goa's traditional Kunbi weave, reimagined in a contemporary silhouette that beautifully blended heritage with modern fashion.
Sharing a series of pictures, Sadhvi opened up about the emotional significance of the outfit, explaining that it represented much more than just a pageant look.
She wrote, "Before I wore the crown that night, I wore a piece from home. For the Miss World India 2026 finale, I wore Goa's traditional Kunbi weave reimagined in a contemporary global silhouette, and today, on National Handloom Day, looking at it takes me back to more than just that stage."
The Miss India World 2026 winner went on to describe the deeper meaning behind the centuries-old weave, highlighting its strong connection to family, heritage and identity. "The word Kunbi is associated with family, roots and generations and that is exactly what handloom means to me. The craft does not survive only because it is remembered; it survives when it's chosen, worn and given a space in our lives," she wrote.
