Kolkata: Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing student leader Anis Khan’s case on Tuesday had submitted a 82-page report to Calcutta High Court.

According to High Court sources, SIT claims that the investigation is always over and they are about to file a chargesheet.

“According to SIT the investigation is almost over and they are about to file the chargesheet. Certain forensic reports from laboratories of Hyderabad and Kolkata are still awaiting,” said the High Court sources.

It can be recalled that the SIT was supposed to submit the report on Monday but due to the absence of the Justice the SIT couldn’t submit the report.

Saleem Khan, father of the dead student on Monday was heard saying that there is something ‘fishy’ going on.

“I have to wait for an indefinite period to get justice for my son. Don’t know what discrepancy is going on. I still demand a CBI probe,” Anis’s father was heard saying.

Calcutta High Court on Wednesday had asked Anis’s father should tender an apology with an affidavit by next hearing which is scheduled on next Monday.

Saleem said that he just wants justice for his son and also that in case he had made someone ‘upset’ he will tender the apology.

Reacting to the development, state BJP president Sukanta Majumdar said that only a CBI probe can bring out the ‘actual’ matter.
