Ujjain: Postal Department invites entries for letter-writing contest

Theme of the competition is 'VISION FOR INDIA 2047'.

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): A letter-writing competition is being organised by the Indian Postal Department from July 1 to October 31, under the 'All India Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign' for the year 2022-23. This year the theme of the competition is "VISION FOR INDIA 2047".

The competition is for all age groups, divided into two categoires up to 18 years and above 18.

Two sub-categories of the inland letter (maximum 500 words) and envelope (maximum 1,000 words) have been kept in these two categories.

Hand-written letters in Hindi / English can be sent through Registered Post / Speed Post / Ordinary Post to the office address of the concerned Senior Superintendent Malwa Division, Ujjain. In the letter, the participant will have to give a self-attested certificate regarding the age that is less than/above 18 years as of January 1, 2022.

The best three entries of each sub-category from the Madhya Pradesh circle will be rewarded with Rs 25,000, 10,000, and Rs 5,000 respectively and selected entries will be sent to Directorate General New Delhi to participate in the competition organized at all India levels. The best three entries selected in each sub-category at the All India level by the Directorate General of New Delhi will be awarded Rs 50,000, 25,000, and 10,000 respectively.

The last date for posting letters in the letter box is 31.10.2022. Letters posted after this will not be considered. The result of selected participants at the circle level will be declared on 31st October and the result of participants selected at all India levels will be declared on 25th December. The Chief Postmaster General, Madhya Pradesh Circle, Bhopal has appealed to all the citizens of Madhya Pradesh to join the ìAkhil Bhartiya Dhai Akhar Patra Writing Campaignî.
