Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A groom in Ujjain district arrived at his bride’s village in a helicopter on Tuesday. The unique entry caught the attention of both villages, with large crowds gathering to witness the helicopter arrival.
The groom came from Chaunsala village of Ujjain and reached Ingoria village.
Helipads were made in both the villages. The helicopter landed in the presence of the police administration. Rs 12.50 lakh was spent on booking the helicopter.
Captain Singh, son of Jitendra Singh Gohil, who runs a boring and property business in Chaunsala village of Ghattia area of the district, had a dream of taking the wedding procession by helicopter.
Groom's Dream come true
Jitendra said that he has fulfilled his son's dream. Captain Singh's marriage was fixed with Lakshmi Kunwar, a resident of Ingoria.
The wedding procession was to go on Monday. Ahmedabad's Company was contacted for the helicopter. After the deal of about Rs 12.50 lakh was finalized, all the necessary documents including NOC from police, district administration, fire department were prepared.
Helipads made in both villages
Helipads were made for helicopter landing in villages Chaunsala and Ingoria and due permission was taken. Police force of Ghatia police station was also deployed on the spot. \
The helicopter landed in Chaunsala at 2:15 pm on April 14. At 5:20 pm the groom left for Ingoria by helicopter. After a night's rest, he returned to village Chaunsala by helicopter with the bride on April 15.
Groom Captain Singh said, I am very happy. It was my dream to go to pick up the bride by helicopter, which my father fulfilled. I feel proud.
