Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Doctors in Jabalpur performed complex surgeries to save lives of two babies-- a 6-month old and a 1.5-years-old, The ENT department of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College gave a new life to them.

A worm was stuck in the chest of a 6-month-old girl from Damoh, while a piece of chicken piece was stuck in the throat of 1.5-year-old toddler from Katni.

Insect stuck in chest

A 6-month-old girl from Damoh district suddenly experienced a sharp pain in her chest on Monday, due to which she started crying continuously. The family took her to Damoh District Hospital, but the doctors there could not clarify the situation.

After this, the girl was referred to Jabalpur Medical College. She was admitted to the pediatric ward. The girl was having a lot of difficulty in breathing. The family said that at 10 am she suddenly started crying while playing.

When the head of the ENT department examined her, she found that air was not entering the lungs and it was swelling like a balloon. At night, the girl was taken to the operation theater and given anesthesia.

During the surgery, when looked at through the machine, a yellow worm was found stuck in the chest, which was taken out through surgery.

Chicken stuck in windpipe

On Monday night itself, a one-and-a-half-year old child from Katni was admitted to the ENT ward of Jabalpur Medical College. The child was crying continuously. First he was taken to Katni District Hospital, from there he was referred to Jabalpur.

When he was examined, it was found that something was stuck in the windpipe. During the surgery, a piece of chicken about one centimeter was removed from the child's chest, which he had swallowed while eating.
