This attack on 17-year-old student Chahat son of Mishrilal Lodwal, a resident of Arjun Nagar, was made during lunch recess. At around 11 in the morning, the children were returning to class after having lunch. During this, Chahat was stopped by a Class X student and started arguing with him over alleged abuse . The matter escalated so much that the student went to his class and took out a knife and attacked Chahata and struck him under the rib. He has been admitted to the ICU of JK Hospital for treatment. As soon as the incident came to light, the Neelganga police reached the school and questioned the school staff.

Meanwhile, angry relatives of the injured student ransacked the principal’s room. According to preliminary information, there are two groups of students in the school and a dispute started between them over the matter of staring at each other. Sub inspector Mahendra Makashre said that the name of the student who killed the knife is not known and they have asked the principal to reveal his name.

According to Chahat’s father Mishrilal Lodwal, despite the school having CCTV, the management is not revealing the name of the student who stabbed my son, he said.
