Sanawad (Madhya Pradesh): To promote inclusive entrepreneurship and strengthen vendor development among Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), NTPC Khargone organised an Entrepreneur Awareness and Special Vendor Development Programme.
The programme was inaugurated by NTPC Khargone Head of Project Keshab Chandra Singha Roy in the presence of Head of HR Pratibha Singh and Head of Contracts and Materials Vijay Mohanlal Solanki.
Aspiring SC/ST entrepreneurs participated in the event along with representatives from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), National SC-ST Hub (NSSH), District Trade and Industry Centre (DTIC), banks, Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) and other stakeholder organisations.
Addressing the gathering, Roy highlighted NTPC's commitment to promoting procurement from SC/ST-owned MSEs in line with the Government of India's MSME policy.
He encouraged entrepreneurs to leverage these opportunities and become valued partners in the country's growth journey.
The programme featured informative sessions on NTPC's vendor registration process, procurement policies, government support schemes, financial assistance and digital procurement platforms.
Experts from Contracts and Materials, NSSH, DTIC, DICCI, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), State Bank of India and Bank of India shared insights.
