Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): Denied BJP ticket, a couple who contested as independent candidates from ward no 3 and 25 have emerged victorious in their respective wards under the Jawad assembly area in the elections to the local bodies.

Sugna Bai Ahir, former janpad president had sought a ticket to contest as a BJP candidate for the post of district panchayat member from Ward no 3, while her husband Puran Ahir sought a ticket for janpad panchayat member from ward no 25, but they were denied the tickets due to resentment of local MLA and cabinet minister Omprakash Saklecha.
