Nagda (Madhya Pradesh): Special Need Education Home (SNEH), an NGO focused on primary health and education of specially-abled children, celebrated its 14th foundation day and hosted the Snehability National award distribution ceremony on Wednesday.
The special guest of the event was Ajay Kumar Reddy, current captain of the India national blind cricket team. The event commenced with a lamp-lightening ceremony and beautiful prayers presented by children.
Founder Pankaj Maru, in his address, emphasized on 13 years of successful journey and told that NGO was started with a particular focus on providing education to underprivileged and specially-abled children, who did not have any access to education facilities.
During the event, Reddy presented various awards. Among those who were felicitated were Vaishali Bee Pai for best therapist, Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development of Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) for the best institute, Ujjain collector Ashesh Singh as best administrator among others. Reddy also lauded the foundation for its initiative and for guiding the children to be proactive in protecting the environment.
During the event, Ashok Bisani, Rajesh Mohta, Kamlesh Nagda, Kamlesh Jaiswal, Lata Khaitan, Ravi Sharma, Gulzari Lal Trivedi, Harish Tiwari, other social workers and journalists were also present. The event was successfully conducted by Preeti Dubey while Vijay Porwal proposed a vote of thanks at the event.
