Nagda (Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh): The police have solved the case of kidnapping and killing a minor youth within 24 hours. Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratnakar and SHO Shyamchandra Sharma gave detailed information about the case to media on Sunday.

As per case, Radheshyam, 42, resident Palya Berachha Road, approached police station and said his younger son Ritesh, 17, went missing after left for karate class. He told police that he had gone to Badnawar when he received a call from Ritesh's mobile number at 8.30 pm. The unknown caller said that his son was with him and asked him to arrange Rs 1 lakh. But Radheshyam considered this as a joke.

On reaching home, he asked his wife Shyamubai whether their son Ritesh has reached home to which she replied in negative. He inquired from Ritesh's friends Satyam and Shubham about him and they told that all three of them had gone to karate class together. After class, they reached bus stand at 6.30 pm but Ritesh went towards Mahidpur Road.

It was then Ritesh’s father lodged a missing complaint. The police launched search and scanned CCTV footages , inquired about it from people. The police searched at Palya Road, Mahidpur Road, Rajasthani Dhaba, Left Pass, Golden Chemical Choraha, Kota Gate, railway station and nearby drains and bushes. Meanwhile, police received information that a body was seen amid ruins of BCCI ground. Soon, police reached the spot where Radheshyam identified the body of his son Ritesh.
On questioning, Ritesh’s friend Satyam confessed that he murdered him. He told police that Ritesh had borrowed Rs 5,000 to play online game, which he did not return. It led to dispute between them on July 8.

After the dispute, Satyam planned to kill Ritesh and take ransom from his family. On July 9 in the morning, he reconciled with Ritesh and said that they will take photographs of BCCI ruins.

As per plan, Satyam bought a bottle of acid, went to BCCI ruins on a motorcycle and hid the acid bottle in a room and came back home. At 5 pm, he took his younger brother and Ritesh to karate coaching class. After leaving the class, he took Ritesh’s mobile phone and secretly inserted his SIM and kept the mobile phone with him.

Satyam reached BCCI ruins with Ritesh on the pretext of taking photographs. There, he asked Ritesh for his money that led to scuffle. Ritesh fell unconscious after Satyam punched him on his belly. He then strangled him to death and threw acid on his face so that no one could recognise him.
