Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Cold is back after a brief break in Madhya Pradesh! The icy winds from the north have dipped the mercury in central India. The day temperatures dropped in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Jabalpur. Similarly, night temperature will also slip.

According to meteorologists, similar weather will remain in the state for the next 3 days.

Khargone witnessed a blanket of dense fog on Saturday, with the visibility shortening to only 50 meters.

The wind direction has turned north since Thursday night. On Friday, the average wind speed in the state was around 14 km per hour. At the same time, the jet stream wind in North India blew up to 232 km per hour at an altitude of 12.6 km, leading to chilly weather.

The temperature dropped in all the cities of the state.

The temperature dropped in Bhopal by 6.8 degrees in a single day, pulling down the mercury to 22.6 degrees on Friday.

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature dropped in all the cities on Friday. 25 degrees in Guna, 26.6 degrees in Pachmarhi, 23.6 degrees in Raisen, 25.5 degrees in Damoh, 25.4 degrees in Khajuraho, 24.2 degrees in Narsinghpur, 23.8 degrees in Rewa, 24.9 degrees in Sagar, 24.7 degrees in Satna, 24.6 degrees in Sidhi, 24 degrees in Tikamgarh, 25.5 degrees in Umaria.

Cold plays peek-a-boo

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of cold will remain for the next 3 days. Expect a brief relief post that, as a Western Disturbance is becoming active in the Himalayan region, will raise the mercury. However, the chill will return after the system passes.
