Mhow (Madhya Pradesh): Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow, the premier technical Institution of the Indian Army heralded a new phase of its growth as Lieutenant General K H Gawas took over the reins of this Alma Mater of techno warriors at Mhow.
The General Officer has an enviable career profile having served in numerous command, staff and instructional appointments. He is a distinguished paratrooper and is an alumnus of DSSC Wellington and National Defence College, New Delhi. He was elected as 67th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals on 01 Jan 2021 and was awarded Vishisht Seva Medal in January 2022.
He has tenanted coveted appointments of Deputy Director-General Information Communication Technology, Chief Signal Officer Western Command and Additional Director General, Signal Staff. The earlier Commandant Lieutenant General MU Nair proceeded to New Delhi to take over as the new Signal Officers-in-Chief.
