Mhow: 8 injured as BJP, Congress workers clash

According to the Dongargaon police, both sides have registered their complaints with the police.

Mhow (Madhya Pradesh): A fierce dispute broke out between the BJP and Congress workers on Sunday morning in the Maledee gram panchayat. Eight people were injured in the stone-pelting between the two sides.

According to the Dongargaon police, both sides have registered their complaints with the police. On the one hand, a complaint has been registered against four people on the report of Jeeva Lal while on the other hand, on the report of complainant Hiralal, a case has been registered against four other persons under Sections 294, 352 356, 336 and 323 of the Indian Penal Code.

In the wake of the violence a meeting was held at Dongargaon police outpost in which the additional superintendent of police and in-charge of two police stations deliberated on the situation.

Man strangulates wife, arrested

A drunk husband killed his wife in the Manpur police station area following an altercation between the two. The accused Kamal Makwana strangulated his wife in front of their children. The children immediately called their maternal uncle who rushed to their home and subsequently called the police. On receiving information, the Manpur police rushed to the house. The police said that the husband doubted the character of his wife and he used to quarrel with her as she refused to give money to him for drinking liquor. Makwana was arrested under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
