Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) action against rebel candidates continues as 58 more were shown the door for their involvement in anti-party activities ahead of the third and final phase of polling in the district. With this, the total number of party leaders and workers who faced disciplinary action was raised to 72.
According to information, a final warning has been given to party workers on June 30. At that, following the instructions of the state party chief Vishnu Dutt Sharma, state secretary Bhagwandas Sabnani forwarded a letter to Mandsaur district president Nanalal Atolia. In the letter, it has been said that 72 party people are in the electoral fray against party-authorised candidates at eight different parishads in the district.
Considering it as an act of violation of party discipline, all 72 party workers have been removed from the party for the next six years. Those who were removed from the party include 14 from Mandsaur, 13 from Sitamau, 10 from Shamgarh, seven each from Malhagargarh, Pipliyamandi, Bhainsoda, six each from Suwasara and Bhanpura and two from Garoth janpad parishad.
