Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): Mandsaur police have claimed to have arrested three interstate thieves for allegedly looting a hardware shop and attacking TI here in Barkheda Gangasa area of Garoth town in Mandsaur district.
As per further details received from Superintendent of Police Anurag Sujania, some unknown miscreants stole cash from a hardware store at gunpoint in Dalauda in the Mandsaur district on June 27. Taking conscience, four separate teams were constituted and a search operation was started to nab the accused in this regard.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by TI Amit Soni and others raided a house here in the Barkheda Gangasa area. Meanwhile, TI Soni was attacked with a sharp-pointed object by some miscreants and fled from the spot.
The police team on Saturday continued the manhunt and succeeded in nabbing three accused from different locations and booked them under different sections at Garoth police station. Police personnel has also confiscated 2 pistols, 8 live cartridges, a knife, and a motorcycle used in the crime from the possession of the suspected accused.
Those arrested have been identified as Sarfaraz AKA Chhota Mewati (22), Rajasthan, Suhan Sher Mohammad (20), (residents of Udaipur), and Sanwar Jahangir (24), a native of Nimbaheda (Chittorgarh).
Additional superintendent of police Gautam Solanki said that there are a dozen cases registered under different sections of the three accused in various police stations in Udaipur in Rajasthan.TI Amit Soni has been referred to Indore where their heath is said to be stable. Further investigation is underway.
