Indore: The administration in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district has extended the partial lockdown it had imposed in light of the COVID-19 spread till April 23, an official said on Saturday. However, Saturday and Sunday are already experiencing curfew-like-lockdown which makes the lockdown extend till April 26.
The partial lockdown has been in effect in the district since April 12.
District collector Manish Singh in an order said the "corona curfew" in the limits of the urban bodies' in the district has been extended till April 23 due to the high rate of infection.
The exemptions remain the same - all fruit, vegetable, grocery and milk shops, banks, ATMs and petrol pumps will remain open. All commercial establishments, all private and government offices will remain closed.
Collector and district magistrate Manish Singh released the order extending the corona curfew on Saturday evening.
Collector Singh informed that the decision for extending the corona curfew was taken at a meeting of the Crisis Managment Group held on Friday night. He appealed to the public to follow the corona protocol.
EXEMPTED FROM CURFEW
-Fruit, vegetable, grocery and PDS shops and pushcarts selling fruits and vegetables will remain open from 6 am to 4 pm.
-Choithram fruit and vegetable mandi
-Banks, ATMs, petrol pumps will be open.
-Medical shops
-Medical institutions, laboratories, hospitals, clinics, wholesale and retail chemist shops, pharmaceutical units and allied establishments and all transport facilities associated with these activities.
-All industrial zones including Pologround, Sanwer Road A-F Sector, Laxmibai Industrial Area, Electronic Complex, Readymade Complex (Pardeshipura), Bardari, Palada, Rau-Rangwasa Industrial Area, 71 Nos.
Scheme, Bhamouri, Shivaji Nagar, Rambali Nagar, Sangam Nagar Industrial units, industrial units located in Dewas Naka.
-Industrial workers, the transportation of raw and finished goods for industries, movement of industrial officers-employees.
TO REMAIN CLOSED
-The offices of various industrial units located in the Indore Municipal Corporation limits.
-All haat bazaar, footpath or roadside markets.
-All private and government offices and commercial establishments will
remain closed.
-Supermarkets in grocery business
