Mohankheda (Madhya Pradesh): Jain Muni Rishabh Chandra Maharaj from Mohankheda Jain pilgrimage in Dhar district died at Indore’s Aurobindo Hospital late on Wednesday. He was 62. The last rites will be performed at Mohankheda on Friday.
According to information, Rishabh Chandra Maharaj was suffering from Covid 19. He was recently admitted to the hospital in Indore, where he took last breath.
Before getting infected with Covid-19, he had helped the administration to set-up a 300 bed Covid Care Centre in Mohankheda.
Soon after news of his death became public, many including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath took twitter and other social media platforms to express the grief on the death of one of renowned religious scholars.
Expressing condolence at the demise of Jain Muni Rishabh Chandra Maharaj, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, tweeted, “His thoughts and guidance always encourage and help us to serve for humanity. It is a big loss for all of us.”
Former chief minister Kamal Nath tweeted, “Services of Archary Rishabh Chandra for humanity, society and religion will always be remembered.”
