Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Two friends were killed after a speeding MUV hit their two-wheeler in Gandhi Nagar police station area late on Tuesday night.

The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. near Rijlay Phata while the two were on their way back home to Pithampur after visiting a temple in the city. The impact of the accident was reportedly so intense that their motorcycle was shattered into three separate pieces, underscoring the severity of the crash.

According to the police, the deceased were identified as Virendra Ahirwar and his friend Pravesh Tarwar, both residents of Pithampur. Their bodies were discovered by passersby, lying on the roadside next to their badly damaged motorcycle, indicating the severity of the accident.

Family members said that Virendra was employed at a canteen in the Indorama area and was the eldest of three brothers. His younger brother Pravesh worked at a private company. Their mother, Madhu, told the police that Virendra had left home on Tuesday afternoon, saying he was going to visit a temple.

The family was informed about the accident when the police called his sister’s phone number in Bhopal, and she, in turn, informed their mother.
