Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A group of six miscreants allegedly molested a 17-year-old girl and thrashed her brother, who came to her rescue.

The incident occurred late on Monday night in Sanchar Nagar under Kanadiya police station limits when the girl was waiting for an auto-rickshaw with her brother and friend to go home.

The police registered a case against the accused under sections 74, 118(1), 115(2), 296, 351(2), 3(5) of BNS and 7/8 of POCSO Act on the complaint of the victim.

According to the police, the girl told police that she, along with her brother and friend, had gone to her sister’s birthday party. While returning home from there, they were waiting for an auto-rickshaw in Sanchar Nagar near JMB Restaurant, when the accused Rishi, along with his friends Sachin Sharma, Moksh and Nanu came in on bikes and started talking to her with the intention of teasing her.

Nanu held her hand with bad intentions and when her brother objected, the accused thrashed him. Later, their two accomplices Kanha and Sahil, also came and started assaulting him and threatened him with dire consequences.
