Indore TI Suicide Case: Brother of lady ASI succumbed to burns

Sources claimed that he attempted suicide after audio of him and the female cop, threatening and blackmailing people and extorting money, went viral.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Kamlesh, the brother of the lady ASI, who got injured due to a bullet fired by TI Hakam Singh Pawar, succumbed to his burns on Thursday. He received burns under mysterious circumstances at his place in Dhamnod in the Dhar district and was undergoing treatment in a city hospital in the Juni Indore area.

According to the Juni Indore police station staff, Kamlesh was taken to the city after he received about 65 percent burns a couple of days ago. Juni Indore police station in-charge Yogesh Singh Tomar said that the man died during treatment at around 4 pm in the hospital. The body has been sent for autopsy and further investigation is underway.

The family members informed the police that he was preparing food on cow dung cake at his place in Dhamnod and he poured petrol on them due to which flame raised and his face received burns. His hands also received burns.

TI Tomar said that the statements of the family members are being taken to know the exact circumstances under which the incident happened.

It is said that the man was also there when his sister and TI Hakam Singh Pawar had an argument at the coffee house in the old police control room premises. Following their argument, Pawar opened fire on his sister (lady ASI), and later Pawar committed suicide after shooting himself with his service pistol. Police said that ASI’s brother was the eyewitness to the incident.
