Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Police raided a place in the jungles under Khudel police station jurisdiction and arrested three men while they were preparing liquor on Wednesday.
One of the accused managed to flee from the spot. The police have seized liquor in huge quantities besides raw material worth thousands of rupees from the spot. The accused are being questioned further.
According to ASP (rural) Punit Gehlot, police received information that some men were preparing liquor in Bhuri Ghati (situated in jungles of Banjari village) illegally and it could be poisonous.
Acting on the information, the officials constituted a team in uniform and another in civil dress and sent them to the spot. The police teams reached the place and saw some men preparing liquor.
The teams cordoned off the area and arrested three persons. One of the accused managed to flee in the deep forest after seeing the police. The accused were identified as Bharat, Jitendra and Bunty of Bhuri Ghati area. Their accomplice named Munshiya is on the run.
Two drums containing illicit liquor, equipment and raw material were seized from the spot.
