Indore Shocker! Chronically Ill Class 8 Student Dies After Participating On School Annual Sports Day Parade |

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a heartbreaking incident, a Class 8 student participating in the march-past during his school’s annual Sports Day parade collapsed and passed away on Saturday.

The incident occurred at around 12 pm in The Bhavans’ Prominent School following the parade when all the participants halted and were standing on the ground after the march-past.

Suddenly, the boy started to feel uneasy and fell unconscious. He was then rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival.

The deceased was identified as Suvrat Dusad (14), a native of Dewas.

The school’s chief executive officer (CEO) Pratyush Kumar Singh Gaur said that on the occasion of the school’s annual Sports Day, a march-past was organised in which Suvrat also participated.

The parade began at around 11:15 am and ended at around 11:40 am. After 20 minute of the parade, Suvrat health started to deteriorate and he became unconscious.

His parents were also present at the annual function who rushed to him along with the school staff. He was taken to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Boy diagnosed with chronic heart illness, kin refuse autopsy

School CEO Gaur said that the school management and his parents knew that Suvrat was diagnosed with a chronic illness. His parents refused to conduct an autopsy, citing his death as natural due to his illness. The family informed the hospital that Suvrat had a serious heart condition and was undergoing treatment. They took his body to their native place in Dewas for final rites.

Went to Shimla in 2024 for school activities

School CEO Gaur said that Suvrat was excellent in cricket and basketball. His parents also encouraged him to participate in different activities. Last year, he went to Shimla in connection with a school activity.

School management offers condolences

The school management issued a note saying, “We are deeply saddened to share the news of the untimely demise of Suvrat Dusad, a cherished student of Class 8 in our institution. Suvrat joined us in 2017 as a student of Class 1. Despite facing significant medical challenges, Suvrat actively participated in all school activities, a testament to his courage and determination. We extend our deepest condolences to his bereaved parents, family, friends, and schoolmates during this difficult time and pray for his soul to attain eternal peace (moksha)”.
