Indore: After the cancellation of the 12th board examination in Madhya Pradesh, now schools are not expected to open in June. As announced by school education department and even communicated by school education minister Inder Singh Parmar, the process of admission in schools will be started from June 15, but schools will not be opened.

The statement from Parmar said, “We can't take any risk with kids.” Further, reopening of schools seems possible only when the war to survive is won and the situation becomes normal.

Further, all the state ministers will meet once a week to review the current situation in corona. If the infection remains under control, then only the reopening of the school will be considered.

The government has sought online suggestions for opening schools. For this, the link on the website of the School Education Department (mp.mygov.in) has been opened and made available to parents and teachers.

On this, suggestions can be given to the principals, educational institutions, parents, students and common citizens till June 30. It is clear from this that the school is not likely to open in the month of June.

Suggestions sought on four points

- What are the suggestions regarding starting the academic session 2021-22
-When should playschools, primary and middle schools (classes 1 to 8) be opened
- Can high schools from class 9 to 12 be opened in the near future
- What is the suggestion on online/offline teaching method

Many states opened schools, but had to close

Due to the increasing cases of corona, strict arrangements have been made in many parts of the country including Maharashtra, in some parts of the country, like limited lockdown, and sometimes night curfew. After a long time, schools and colleges have had to be closed again in many areas of Gujarat, Punjab and Maharashtra. Board exams in Punjab have been postponed by a month.

Efforts for innovation continue in the field of education

The government has said that due to Covid-19 infection and corona curfew, life has seen many changes. These changes have also redefined our needs. Mainly among them is education.

Keeping in view the current status quo, the State Government is making continuous efforts to make school education student-friendly, innovations are also being made in this direction. Keeping these facts in mind, suggestions have been sought regarding starting a new academic session in view of the Covid-19 transition.
