Indore: No entry at Choithram Mandi without vaccination, three-day vaccination drive to start

Indore: Vaccination has been made compulsory for all the stakeholders of Choithram Mandi, and administration has decided that no one would be allowed to enter the mandi without it. To ensure 100 compliance, a three-day vaccination camp would be held there.

Devi Ahilyabai Fruits and Vegetable Mandi, which is commonly known as Choithram Mandi, had been shut during the lockdown period, and on Tuesday only trade in onion was allowed. The mandi would be fully opened in the coming days. The administration fears that without vaccination of each and every person at Choithram Mandi, the danger of it becoming a place for spreading the pandemic is very real.



On Tuesday, collector Manish Singh reached Choithram Mandi along with DIG Manish Kapooria, IMC commissioner Pratibha Pal and other officials held talks with the president and members of the Mandi Association and asked them to ensure that 100 per cent of traders, their employees and hammals working for them are vaccinated in the next three days. The collector made it clear that no one would be allowed inside the mandi after the three days are over, and strict action would be taken against anyone found in the mandi without getting vaccinated. Collector Singh said Mandi Association should tell all the farmers\buyers\traders coming to the mandi that they won't be allowed inside without getting vaccinated.
