Indore (Madhya Pradesh): To smoothen traffic flow in the busiest Rajwada area of the city, DCP Rajesh Kumar Tripathi along with the additional commissioner of the IMC conducted an inspection of major markets on Thursday. The inspection was carried out as part of ongoing efforts by Indore Traffic Police to ensure smooth, safe, and well-organised traffic in the city.
During the three-hour inspection, areas including Rajwada, Sarafa, Cloth Market, Khajuri Bazaar, Subhash Chowk and nearby designated parking zones were reviewed. Officials discussed steps to further improve traffic flow and parking arrangements in these busy market areas.
It was decided that direction boards will be installed to help drivers easily reach parking areas. Fresh white road markings will be done in front of shops and along roads to clearly mark boundaries. Parking facilities will also be improved after inspection. Shopkeepers and traders were requested to park their vehicles only at designated places to avoid traffic congestion.
During the inspection, action was taken against vehicles parked in no-parking zones. Traders’ associations assured full cooperation to the traffic police and the IMC. Traffic police teams will continue regular patrolling in the area to ensure better traffic management. People have been appealed to follow traffic rules and use designated parking spaces.
