Indore (Madhya Pradesh): An honest auto-rickshaw driver returned the bag of a man from Rajasthan containing Rs 20,000 and some documents to the police station on Saturday. The police later called the bag owner and handed the bag over to him safely. The man thanked the police and the auto-driver for returning his bag.

According to police, Harbhan Prajapat, a resident of Nagaur district in Rajasthan along with his team came to the city to prepare food for a function on Saturday. He was in an auto-rickshaw going from Mangliya to Vijay Nagar. He forgot to take his bag when he got down and by the time he realised about his missing bag, the auto had left.

After finding the bag in the auto-rickshaw, the driver Santosh Maloria, a resident of Bhagirathpura area of the city reached the Vijay Nagar police station and handed over the bag to the police station staff. The police station in-charge Ravindra Singh Gurjar checked the bag and found Rs 20,000 and documents in it. His mobile number was also mentioned in a document so the police made a phone call to Harbhan and called him to the police station to take his bag.

TI appreciated the auto-driver for his honesty. Harbhan was happy finding his bag as the entire cash intact in the bag.
