Indore (Madhya Pradesh):Bringing joy to frequent flyers and business travellers, Indore is now directly connected to Ghaziabad via air, with IndiGo Airlines launching its maiden service between the two cities from Sunday.
The flight will be operated on all the 6 days of the week except Saturday and will land at Hindon airport of Ghaziabad.
Indigo had started booking by announcing direct flight from the city to Ghaziabad in early June itself. This is the first flight from the city to Ghaziabad.
Aviation experts said that in view of the ever increasing pressure of flights on Delhi Airport, now airlines are being asked to operate flights from airports adjoining Delhi as well. Due to this, air connectivity of small cities nearby is also getting strengthened and the pressure on Delhi is also reducing. The distance between Delhi and Noida from Hindon airport is 20 to 30 kilometers, so passengers going to Delhi and Noida will also get the benefit of this flight.
The flight will depart from Ghaziabad at 2 pm and reach Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport at 3.15 pm and will depart from here at 3.45 pm and reach Ghaziabad at 5.10 pm.
