Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Water resources minister Tulsi Silawat on Sunday visited the families of two children who tragically drowned in the Banganga police station area earlier this week. The minister expressed deep sorrow over the incident and offered his condolences to the bereaved families.

At the victims’ residences, Silawat comforted the grieving parents and prayed for peace to the departed souls, as well as for strength for the families to endure the loss.

The deceased were identified as Divyanshu (11), son of Jitendra, and Kuldeep Mugate (12), son of Anil Mugate, both residents of Kalindi Gold City.

Silawat announced that the state government has provided financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of both victims. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to stand by the affected families and assured them of all possible help in the future.

“This is an extremely painful incident. The government is with the grieving families and will continue to extend every possible support,” Silawat said.

The tragic drowning has cast a pall of gloom over the community, with neighbours and local residents joining the families in mourning the untimely loss of the young lives.
