Guna (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan campaigned for BJP corporator candidate contesting from Laxmiganj in Guna on Sunday.

Addressing a public meeting, Chouhan said, ‘We are celebrating the 75th anniversary of Independence and we have to end such British-like slavery. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing and Congress is on the verge of disappearance. We want that we send money for all the schemes, and all the development work should be done through the municipality, in which the corporator and president should be of BJP.

Taking a dig at Kamal Nath’s former Congress government in the state, Chouhan accused Nath of cheating the state and its people and asked voters to not let any Congress corporator win in the district.

He told the forum that tribal women in Guna have met and asked them to express their thanks to the Prime Minister for making a tribal woman the Presidential candidate.

Shivraj took a jibe at the Congress president and former Chief Minister on the responsibility given to save the Shiv Sena government of Maharashtra and said that the person who could not save his government, how would he be able to save the government of others.

Addressing the gathering, Chouhan said that our job is not to take rest in bungalows by becoming Chief Minister, but our job is to go among people and change their lives.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that he does not have to worry about education of children, they will be admitted to medical college, engineering college and parents will not have to pay fees. We are also giving money to Ladli Laxmi Yojana.
