Guna (Madhya Pradesh): National Lok Adalat was organised in Guna, Chanchoda, Raghogarh, Aron on Saturday.
About 21 benches were set up for the purpose in which 1002 cases were settled through mutual agreement. The benches passed awards amounting to Rs 40456134 that benefited 1305 people. In 254 cases, awards amounting to Rs 31281847 were passed. In 748 cases of banks, municipalities, an amount of Rs 9174287 was recovered through Lok Adalat.
About 100 litigants mutually agreed for settlement. They were given 100 saplings with a resolve to protect them. Those present on the occasion included District Collector Frank Noble A, Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra, secretary of District Legal Services Authority Rakesh Kumar Sharma, advocates, officers and employees of banks, electricity, municipalities.
